As many of our neighbors know, this time of year starts the big Toys for Tots campaign. Our members work hard to support the Capital Region Toys for Tots by collecting new toys, coats, and other necessities that children might need. Each year, due to the generosity of our community, we have been able to fill our sleigh and have it overflow with donations.

A little history on our sleigh…

13 years ago, PC Parker had helped with the very first Tots for Tots campaign and has continued to be a leader each year. In those early years, we didn’t have a sleigh and in 2015, a member approached the Chief asking for permission to build a sleigh. Well, everyone knows that the sleigh is Santa’s thing so we had to get the ok from the big guy himself. He agreed to let us build one but we have to let him use it whenever he is in town. Like any vehicle, the sleigh has had an upgrade so make sure to check it out the next time you see it! We look forward to filling the sleigh with lots of donations again this year! We have two events coming up, both at Stewart’s (different locations). Check out our events once the details are finalized on Facebook and our website.

If you’d like to make a monetary donation we will be taking donations that day. If you’d like to write a check you can make it out to “Round Lake Hose Company” and put “Toys for Tots” in the memo field. If you’d like to drop a toy off but can’t make one of the events, there is a box outside the main station located at 13 Curry Rd., Round Lake. (Off exit 11)

Thank you from all of us at Round Lake FD!
